Housing construction in Warsaw in January – October 2023
According to data from the Polish General Office of Statistics, 998 apartments were commissioned in Warsaw in October 2023, which is 29.7% less than a year earlier.

In January-October 2023, 11,620 apartments were put into operation (2.3% more than in the same period in 2022), and in the Masovian Voivodeship - 34,631 apartments, i.e. 3.7% more than in January -October 2022. Developers increased the supply of housing intended for sale or rent from 10,357 to 10,683 apartments, or by 3.1%. On the contrary, a decrease occurred in cooperative construction - from 412 to 117 apartments, or 71.6% less. In individual construction, commissioning volumes remained almost the same (587 and 585 apartments, respectively). In addition, in January - October 2023, 235 apartments built by social construction societies were put into operation.

In January-October 2023, construction began on 13,311 apartments (22.0% more than in the same period in 2022), of which 12,468 were in construction intended for sale or rental, 696 in individual construction, 100 in construction by enterprises, 47 - in cooperative construction.
In January–October 2023, the number of apartments for which construction permits were issued or for which an application was submitted for a construction project amounted to 12,040 (34.0% less than in the same period in 2022), including 416 apartments in buildings sold by individual investors.
The average area of an apartment put into operation in January–October 2023 was 62.5 m2 and decreased by 1.3 m2 compared to the same period in 2022. The average usable area in individual construction was 169.9 m2 (9.6 m2 less than in the same period in 2022), in construction intended for sale or rental - 57.1 m2 (0.3 m2 less), in cooperative construction - 48.4 m2 (10.0 m2 less), in construction by social construction societies - 47.5 m2.
