Housing construction in Warsaw in January – November 2023
In Warsaw, 2,070 apartments were commissioned in November 2023, which is 20.0% more than a year earlier.

In the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, a total of 39,233 apartments were put into operation, i.e. 4.2% more than in January-November 2022.
In Warsaw, an increase in the number of apartments put into operation was recorded in buildings intended for sale or rent, from 12,009 to 13,202, i.e. 9.9% more. On the contrary, a decrease occurred in cooperative construction from 412 to 117, i.e. 71.6% less, and in individual construction - from 660 to 555, i.e. 15.9% less. In addition, in January-November 2023, 235 apartments were put into operation in public housing construction.

In January-November 2023, the construction of 14,269 apartments began in the Polish capital (20.0% more than in the same period in 2022), of which: 13,186 in construction intended for sale or rental, 716 in individual construction, 220 in social construction, 100 in factory construction, 47 in cooperative construction.
In January–November 2023, the number of apartments for which construction permits were issued or for which an application was submitted for a construction project amounted to 13,565 (27.4% less than in the same period in 2022), including 394 apartments in buildings sold by individual investors.
The average area of an apartment in Warsaw commissioned in January–November 2023 was 61.6 m2 and decreased by 1.8 m2 compared to the same period in 2022. The average usable area in individual construction was 175.1 m2 (4.4 m2 less than in the same period in 2022), in construction intended for sale or rental - 57.1 m2 (0.1 m2 less), in cooperative construction - 48.4 m2 (10.0 m2 less), in social construction - 47.5 m2.
